Since the vulnerability requires physical access to the system terminal, restricting physical access to authorized personnel is a primary mitigation. Monitor vendor advisories for updates or patches addressing this issue.
Description
IBM Db2 versions 11.1.0 through 11.1.4.7, 11.5.0 through 11.5.9, and 12.1.0 through 12.1.3 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows have a vulnerability in the clpplus command that exposes user credentials to the terminal. This exposure could allow a third party with physical access to the system to obtain sensitive credential information.
