A security update fixing these vulnerabilities is available in dpdk version 2:25.11-2.el10_2. Users should apply this update promptly to remediate the issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory beyond applying the official patch.
Description
Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified in the Data Plane Development Kit (dpdk), a set of libraries and drivers for fast packet processing. These include various memory safety issues such as out-of-bounds reads and writes, buffer overflows, use-after-free, type confusion, and time-of-check/time-of-use (TOCTOU) bugs affecting vhost, vhost-crypto, and vDPA components. These vulnerabilities could allow a guest to cause memory corruption or crashes on the host system. A security update fixing these issues is available for affected versions.
