AI-suggested
A fixed kernel version 4.18.0-553.176.1.el8_10 is available and should be applied. Red Hat advises rebooting the system after applying the update to ensure all fixes are active. Treat all kernel errata as security-relevant and apply updates promptly to maintain system security.
Description
This advisory addresses multiple security vulnerabilities and bug fixes in the Linux kernel packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. The key security fix (CVE-2026-52935) prevents reuse of an in-progress partial send in the xfrm ESPINTCP component. Other kernel subsystems such as USB serial, SCTP, SMB client, perf, and netfilter also have security fixes. The update includes bug fixes and enhancements, notably for the gfs2 filesystem. A fixed kernel version 4.18.0-553.176.1.el8_10 is available, and a system reboot is required to apply the update.
