AI-suggested

A security update addressing these denial of service vulnerabilities is available in python-pillow version 5.1.1-33.el8_10. Users should apply this update promptly to remediate the issues. Refer to the Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:92639 for detailed update instructions. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor.

Description

Multiple denial of service vulnerabilities have been identified in the python-pillow library, including unbounded recursion in the PDF parser, double free during image transformation, zero-size image handling issues, null pointer dereference, infinite loops, and out-of-bounds memory access. These flaws could cause application crashes or resource exhaustion when processing crafted images or PDFs. A security update fixing these issues is available in version 5.1.1-33.el8_10 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.
