Since this is not a cloud service, users should monitor official Elastic advisories for patches or updates addressing this issue. Until a fix is available, restrict readonly user access and monitor API usage closely to prevent unauthorized actions.
Description
CVE-2025-37736 is a high-severity vulnerability in Elastic Cloud Enterprise involving improper authorization. The built-in readonly user can access and invoke several sensitive APIs that should be restricted, potentially leading to privilege escalation. Affected APIs include those for managing service accounts, user authentication keys, and user accounts themselves.
