Users should monitor vendor advisories for updates. Until a fix is released, mitigating exposure by limiting network access to the affected devices and implementing network-level protections against UDP flooding may reduce risk.

Description

An improper resource shutdown or release vulnerability exists in all versions of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation MELSEC iQ-F Series FX5-EIP EtherNet/IP Module FX5-EIP. A remote attacker can exploit this by continuously sending UDP packets, causing a denial-of-service (DoS) condition that requires a system reset to recover.
