Until a fix is available, avoid using HttpClient in scenarios where redirects can be attacker-controlled or restrict redirect handling to trusted URLs only.

Description

Eclipse Jetty HttpClient has a vulnerability where it improperly handles redirects containing path traversal sequences such as '/secure/../evil'. This causes the client to send authentication credentials intended for '/secure' to the redirected path '/evil' without normalizing the path. Exploitation requires the attacker to control redirects and have a malicious application on the same domain as the target.
