If you cannot patch yet, users should avoid opening untrusted projects in Safe Mode or restrict project-controlled JVM options if possible.
Description
A vulnerability in JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA versions before 2026.3 and 2026.2.2 allows code execution in Safe Mode via project-controlled JVM options of the build process. This flaw could enable an attacker to execute arbitrary code with limited privileges when Safe Mode is enabled.
