Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ksmbd component allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service by exhausting socket resources. When the per-IP connection limit is exceeded, the kernel fails to close the newly accepted socket, leaking one socket per rejected connection attempt. This issue has been resolved by ensuring the socket is properly closed upon rejection.
