Description

A deadlock vulnerability in the Linux kernel's md (multiple device) subsystem was resolved. Writing "clear" to the array_state sysfs attribute could cause a recursive locking deadlock due to improper reference handling during sysfs kobject teardown. This issue affects the md_attr_store() function, which drops a reference prematurely, leading to recursive locking detected by lockdep. The fix ensures active protection is restored before releasing the mddev reference, deferring kobject deletion until safe.
