Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-51629 is an access control vulnerability in the TOTOLINK T6 router firmware version 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015. The issue resides in the getStaticDhcpRules function, which improperly restricts access, enabling unauthenticated attackers to obtain static DHCP reservation rules via a specially crafted POST request to /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi. This vulnerability is classified under CWE-284 (Improper Access Control).

Potential Impact

An attacker without authentication can obtain static DHCP reservation rules from the affected device. This information disclosure could aid in network reconnaissance but does not allow modification or denial of service. The confidentiality impact is low, with no integrity or availability impact reported.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. No official fix or patch links are currently available. Until a patch is released, restrict access to the device management interface and monitor for suspicious POST requests targeting /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi.
