Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-51625 is an access control vulnerability in the getWiFiEasyCfg function of TOTOLINK T6 firmware 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015. Due to improper access control, unauthenticated attackers can send specially crafted POST requests to the /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi endpoint to retrieve sensitive Wi-Fi configuration data including SSIDs and Wi-Fi keys. This vulnerability exposes critical configuration information without requiring authentication.

Potential Impact

An attacker exploiting this vulnerability can obtain sensitive Wi-Fi configuration details such as SSIDs and Wi-Fi keys without authentication. This exposure could lead to unauthorized network access or further attacks against the affected network environment. There is no indication of active exploitation in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the affected endpoint and monitor for suspicious POST requests targeting /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi. Consider network-level controls to limit exposure of the device management interface.
