Until a fix is available, avoid processing untrusted CCSDS 121.0/SZIP streams or apply other vendor-recommended mitigations if published.
Description
libaec versions through 1.1.7 contain an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the m_se_decode() function. This flaw allows attackers to bypass a signed bounds check by supplying a crafted CCSDS 121.0/SZIP stream with a large number of zero bits, potentially causing the decoder to crash or leak adjacent memory into decoded samples.
