Upgrade libsndfile to version 1.0.31-7.oe2203sp4 or later, where the misaligned memory access issue is fixed. Since a patch is available, applying this official fix is the recommended mitigation.
Description
Libsndfile version prior to 1.0.31-7.oe2203sp4 contains a vulnerability in the psf_binheader_readf() function when parsing WAV fmt chunks. This flaw involves a misaligned memory access that can cause undefined behavior and lead to a denial of service when processing specially crafted WAV files. The issue is fixed in version 1.0.31-7.oe2203sp4.
