Description
Multiple security vulnerabilities were discovered in the Linux kernel, including a flaw in the algif_aead module that improperly handles in-place cryptographic operations (CVE-2026-31431). This flaw, known as Copy Fail, could allow a local attacker to escalate privileges or escape a container. Additional issues affect the Cryptographic API and Packet sockets subsystems. These vulnerabilities could potentially be exploited to compromise the system. Fixes are available in updated Linux kernel packages, and a system reboot is required after applying updates.
