AI-suggested
Apply the security update to linux-oracle-5.15 version 5.15.0-1091.97~20.04.1 or later as provided by the Ubuntu security notice USN-7793-2. After updating, reboot the system to activate the fixes. Due to an ABI change, recompile and reinstall all third-party kernel modules. If using standard kernel metapackages, the upgrade process will handle this automatically.
Description
Multiple security vulnerabilities were identified in the Linux kernel for Oracle Cloud systems, specifically affecting packet sockets, network traffic control, and the VMware vSockets driver. These flaws could potentially allow an attacker to compromise the system. A security update addressing these issues is available and requires a system reboot. Due to an ABI change, third-party kernel modules must be recompiled and reinstalled after applying the update.
