Users should ensure that no user-writable directories are included in the SYSTEM PATH environment variable to prevent malicious DLL placement. Monitor vendor advisories for updates and apply patches once available.
Description
CVE-2025-6241 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability in LsiAgent.exe, a component of SysTrack from Lakeside Software. The executable attempts to load DLL files that are not included in the default installation. If a user-writable directory is present in the SYSTEM PATH environment variable, an attacker can place a malicious DLL in that directory. This DLL is then loaded and executed with SYSTEM privileges when the service starts or restarts, due to Windows' default DLL search order.
