Description
The openai-spellchecker package on PyPI version 1.0.0 contains hidden malicious code that downloads and executes a secondary payload. This payload communicates with a command-and-control (C2) server and listens for further instructions. Although the malicious code was not triggered in the analyzed sample, the package is designed to execute remote commands on the victim's machine, likely limited to a specific set. The package uses obfuscation techniques to conceal its malicious intent.
