What to do

AI-suggested

Users should check the vendor advisory for updates. Until a fix is available, restrict local user access to the system and monitor for unauthorized file creation at C:\Program.exe. Consider manually correcting the service path to include quotes if feasible.

Description

memoQ versions 10.1.13.ef1b2b52aae and earlier contain an unquoted service path vulnerability in the memoQ Auto Update Service (memoQauhlp101). This vulnerability arises because the service path includes spaces but is not enclosed in quotes, allowing local users to escalate privileges to SYSTEM by placing a malicious executable at a specific location (C:\Program.exe).
