Description

A vulnerability in the Android Debug Bridge daemon (adbd) in DJI CrystalSky ZS600C firmware versions 0.3.9.7 through 0.6.6.9 allows unauthenticated access to a shell with uid 2000. The device is configured with ro.adb.secure=0, disabling host key authorization, and USB ADB is enabled by default. If ADB over TCP is enabled, the unauthenticated shell can be accessed remotely over the network. This provides an attacker a foothold for privilege escalation to root.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-114357 describes a missing authentication vulnerability in the Android Debug Bridge daemon (adbd) on DJI CrystalSky ZS600C devices running firmware versions 0.3.9.7 through 0.6.6.9. The device ships with ro.adb.secure=0, meaning no host key authorization is required, and USB ADB is enabled by default. This allows an attacker to obtain an unauthenticated shell with uid 2000. Although ADB over TCP is disabled by default, enabling it (e.g., via /system/bin/adbd_tcp.sh or setting persist.adb.tcp.port to 5555) exposes the same unauthenticated shell over the network. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 base score of 9.3, indicating critical severity.

Potential Impact

An attacker can gain unauthenticated shell access on affected devices, providing a foothold for privilege escalation to root. This compromises device integrity and security, potentially allowing full control over the device without any authentication.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, avoid enabling ADB over TCP and restrict physical access to devices to prevent unauthorized USB ADB connections.
