Missing Authorization vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ Broker, Apache ActiveMQ All, Apache ActiveMQ. (CVE-2026-54475)
Description
A missing authorization vulnerability exists in Apache ActiveMQ Broker and related distributions, allowing a different connection to consume messages from another connection's temporary destination. This breaks the expected isolation of temporary destinations. The issue affects versions before 5.19.8 and from 6.0.0 before 6.2.7. Upgrading to version 6.2.7 resolves the vulnerability.

Technical Analysis
Apache ActiveMQ Classic temporary destinations are intended to be isolated to the connection that created them. However, this isolation is only enforced on the client side, allowing a different connection to consume from another connection's temporary destination, resulting in a missing authorization vulnerability. This affects Apache ActiveMQ Broker and related packages before version 5.19.8 and from 6.0.0 before 6.2.7. The vulnerability is fixed in version 6.2.7.
Potential Impact
An attacker can consume messages from temporary destinations created by other connections, violating message isolation and potentially leading to unauthorized message interception or manipulation. The CVSS score is 7.5 (high impact on integrity), indicating a significant risk if exploited.
Mitigation Recommendations
Users are recommended to upgrade Apache ActiveMQ to version 6.2.7 or later, where this missing authorization vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation or temporary workaround is indicated.
