What to do

AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, consider restricting or monitoring EtherNet/IP traffic to the OpenPLC Runtime to mitigate potential exploitation.

Description

Multiple invalid pointer dereference vulnerabilities exist in the OpenPLC Runtime EtherNet/IP parser functionality, specifically within the Protected_Logical_Write_Reply function. These vulnerabilities can be triggered by specially crafted EtherNet/IP requests, potentially causing a denial of service. The vulnerabilities affect OpenPLC_v3 at commit 16bf8bac1a36d95b73e7b8722d0edb8b9c5bb56a. No patch or fixed version information is currently provided.
