What to do

AI-suggested

Upgrade Nagios Log Server to version 2024R2.0.2 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. Since the issue is resolved in this release, no additional mitigation steps are required. Review access controls to the user interface and logs to limit exposure until the upgrade is applied.

Description

Nagios Log Server versions prior to 2024R2.0.2 have a vulnerability in the Active Directory/LDAP user import functionality where the password field is not obfuscated. This flaw can expose plaintext passwords in the user interface, logs, or diagnostic outputs, potentially leaking sensitive credentials to administrators or others with access to import results.
