Until a fix is available, restrict unprivileged user access to affected systems and monitor for any unusual activity related to GPU driver usage.
Description
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Linux versions 304.x and 340.x contain a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer that allows an unprivileged user to bypass read-only memory protections. This flaw enables write access to memory that should be read-only, potentially leading to code execution, denial of service, privilege escalation, information disclosure, and data tampering.
