Description
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Linux contains a use-after-free vulnerability in the open-source kernel module event delivery path. This flaw allows an unprivileged local user to trigger a race condition between asynchronous event delivery and file close, potentially leading to code execution, privilege escalation, denial of service, information disclosure, and data tampering. The vulnerability affects multiple specific versions of the Nvidia 304 and 340 series drivers on Ubuntu platforms.
