Since the vulnerability involves client-side SSH multiplexing configuration, users should consider disabling SSH session multiplexing as a temporary mitigation until a vendor fix or advisory is published. Monitor vendor advisories for updates and apply patches once available.
Description
CVE-2025-54547 is a vulnerability affecting SSH clients configured with session multiplexing. If multiplexing is enabled, SSH sessions such as scp or sftp that share the same channel may continue to perform file-system operations even after the configured session timeout has expired. This behavior could allow unintended access or actions beyond the expected session lifetime.
