Source: GCVE Database
Product: openclaw-cli

Description

A vulnerability in openclaw-cli versions before 2026.4.10 allows the browser tabs action select and close routes to bypass the configured SSRF policy. This weakness undermines tab-level navigation protections by permitting operations on targets without enforcing SSRF restrictions. The issue has been fixed in version 2026.4.10 and later.

Technical Analysis

The openclaw-cli package prior to version 2026.4.10 contains a security flaw where the browser /tabs/action select and close routes do not enforce the configured server-side request forgery (SSRF) policy. This bypass allows these routes to operate on targets without SSRF protections, weakening tab-level navigation security. The vulnerability was addressed by enforcing the SSRF policy in these branches, with the fix included starting from version 2026.4.10, as implemented in pull request #63332.

Potential Impact

This vulnerability allows an attacker with limited privileges (PR:L) to bypass SSRF protections on browser tab actions, potentially leading to unauthorized access or interaction with internal or restricted network resources. The CVSS score of 8.5 reflects high severity with high confidentiality impact, limited integrity impact, and no availability impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

Users should upgrade openclaw-cli to version 2026.4.10 or later. The fix is included in the stable release 2026.4.10 and subsequent versions such as 2026.4.14. Applying this update enforces the SSRF policy correctly and mitigates the vulnerability.
