Source: GCVE Database
Product: openclaw-cli

Description

OpenClaw CLI versions prior to 2026.3.22 contain a vulnerability in the Synology Chat multi-account configuration where webhook paths can collide. This collision allows route ownership to be replaced, bypassing direct message (DM) policy separation between accounts. The issue is fixed in version 2026.3.22 and later.

Technical Analysis

The OpenClaw CLI package (npm) versions before 2026.3.22 have a vulnerability (CVE-2026-35635) related to Synology Chat's multi-account webhook path handling. Specifically, multiple accounts could share a webhook path, causing route ownership to be overwritten and bypassing per-account DM policy separation. The fix, introduced in version 2026.3.22, ensures that inherited base webhook paths are distinguished from explicit per-account paths and that duplicate or inherited webhook paths cause the system to fail closed without replacing existing routes.

Potential Impact

An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to bypass direct message policy separation between Synology Chat accounts by causing webhook path collisions. This could lead to unauthorized access or message interception across accounts that should be isolated by DM policies.

Mitigation Recommendations

A patch is available and has been released in OpenClaw CLI version 2026.3.22 and later. Users should upgrade to version 2026.3.22 or newer to remediate this vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.
