Source: GCVE Database
Product: openclaw-cli

Description

A vulnerability in openclaw-cli versions 2026.4.10 through 2026.4.13 allows delivery queue recovery to lose group tool-policy context for media replay. This can cause recovered outbound media to be replayed without enforcing the original session's group tool policy, weakening channel media restrictions after a restart or recovery. The issue is fixed in version 2026.4.14.

Technical Analysis

The openclaw-cli package versions from 2026.4.10 up to but not including 2026.4.14 have a vulnerability where delivery queue recovery does not preserve the group tool-policy context for media replay. As a result, recovered queued outbound media could bypass original session context checks, weakening enforcement of group tool policies on channel media after restart or recovery. The fix ensures that the relevant session context is persisted and replayed with delivery queue entries so that media dispatch undergoes the same policy checks. The vulnerability is addressed in openclaw version 2026.4.14.

Potential Impact

Recovered outbound media may be replayed without the original session context required to enforce group tool policies, potentially weakening channel media restrictions after system restart or recovery. This could allow media to be delivered in a way that does not comply with intended policy controls.

Mitigation Recommendations

Users should upgrade to openclaw version 2026.4.14 or later, which includes the fix that preserves session context during delivery queue recovery. The latest npm release 2026.4.14 already contains this fix.
