Source: GCVE Database
Product: openclaw-cli

Description

OpenClaw CLI versions prior to 2026.3.11 contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in Discord guild reaction ingestion. The vulnerability allows reaction events from non-allowlisted guild members to be accepted and processed as trusted system events, bypassing configured users and roles allowlists. This could lead to unauthorized reaction text injection into session contexts. The issue was fixed in version 2026.3.11 by enforcing the same allowlist checks on reaction ingress as on normal guild messages.

Technical Analysis

In OpenClaw CLI versions before 2026.3.11, the Discord reaction ingestion path for guild channels did not enforce the users and roles allowlist checks that are applied to normal inbound guild messages. As a result, reaction events from guild members not permitted by the allowlist could be accepted and queued as trusted system events for the target session. This constitutes an authorization bypass allowing injection of reaction text into downstream session context. The fix in version 2026.3.11 applies the missing allowlist enforcement to reaction ingress.

Potential Impact

This vulnerability allows unauthorized guild members to bypass configured users and roles allowlists for Discord reaction events, potentially injecting reaction text into session contexts where they should not have permission. The impact is limited to confidentiality and integrity of session data, with no availability impact reported.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade OpenClaw CLI to version 2026.3.11 or later, where the vulnerability is fixed by enforcing users and roles allowlist checks on Discord guild reaction ingress. No other workarounds are indicated.
