Description

Openclaw CLI versions before 2026.4.10 have a vulnerability where existing-session browser interaction routes bypass SSRF policy enforcement. This allows these routes to interact with or navigate targets without the SSRF navigation guard applied to guarded browser routes. The issue was fixed in version 2026.4.10 and later.

Technical Analysis

The Openclaw CLI package prior to version 2026.4.10 contains a security vulnerability (CVE-2026-43573) where existing-session browser interaction routes bypass the server-side request forgery (SSRF) policy enforcement. This means that these routes could interact with or navigate to targets without the SSRF navigation guard that is applied to other guarded browser routes. The vulnerability was addressed by adding browser navigation policy checks to these existing-session navigation and interaction routes. The fix was implemented in pull request #64370 and included starting with version 2026.4.10.

Potential Impact

An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to bypass SSRF protections on existing-session browser interaction routes, potentially allowing unauthorized navigation or interaction with internal or protected resources. The CVSS score is 7.7 (high severity), indicating a significant impact on confidentiality without affecting integrity or availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

Users should upgrade to Openclaw CLI version 2026.4.10 or later. The fix is included starting from this version, with the latest release 2026.4.14 containing the patch. Applying this update ensures that SSRF navigation policy enforcement is applied consistently across all browser interaction routes.
