Technical Analysis

The OpenClaw CLI package (npm) versions from 2026.1.29 up to but not including 2026.3.31 have a low-severity information disclosure vulnerability (CVE-2026-41335) in the Gateway Control Interface. The released Control UI bootstrap JSON exposed version and assistant agent ID information, which could be used for fingerprinting. The vulnerability was addressed in commit c5c10adc022f42eb75ebb3bf364dd607738683b3 on 2026-03-30, which trims the payload to remove sensitive information. The fix is included starting with version 2026.3.31.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to obtain version and assistant agent ID information from the OpenClaw Gateway Control Interface. This information disclosure is limited to fingerprinting and does not allow further exploitation or system compromise. The severity is assessed as low.

Mitigation Recommendations

A patch is available and users should upgrade to OpenClaw CLI version 2026.3.31 or later to remediate this vulnerability. The fix trims the exposed payload to prevent information disclosure. No additional mitigation steps are required.
