Description

OpenClaw CLI versions from 2026.1.29 up to but not including 2026.3.24 contain an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-32011. The Feishu webhook handler still accepts large request bodies (up to 1MB) with a long timeout (30 seconds) before verifying the webhook signature, allowing unauthenticated attackers to perform slow-body denial-of-service attacks by exhausting server connection resources. The issue was fixed in OpenClaw 2026.3.24 by tightening pre-auth body parsing limits. The vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS score of 5.3 and no known exploits in the wild.

Technical Analysis

The patch for CVE-2026-32011 improved pre-auth body parsing limits for several webhook handlers in OpenClaw CLI, reducing allowed body size and timeout before authentication. However, the Feishu webhook handler, located in the extensions/feishu plugin workspace, was missed and still uses the old permissive limits of 1MB body size and 30-second timeout before signature verification. This allows unauthenticated attackers to send slow HTTP POST requests to the Feishu webhook endpoint, holding connections open for up to 30 seconds and potentially exhausting server connection resources. The vulnerability was fixed in OpenClaw version 2026.3.24 by applying the stricter limits to the Feishu webhook handler as well.

Potential Impact

An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to perform a denial-of-service attack by opening multiple slow HTTP POST connections to the Feishu webhook endpoint, exhausting server connection resources and blocking legitimate webhook deliveries. The impact is limited to availability disruption without affecting confidentiality or integrity.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in OpenClaw CLI version 2026.3.24. Users should upgrade to this version or later to ensure the Feishu webhook handler enforces the stricter pre-auth body parsing limits. No additional mitigation is required once the patch is applied.
