Published: 08/13/2026 (08/13/2026, 17:21:32 UTC)
Source: GCVE Database
Product: openclaw-cli

Description

OpenClaw CLI versions prior to 2026.3.31 contain a vulnerability where the marketplace plugin download functionality follows redirects without Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) protection. This flaw allows an attacker with limited privileges to cause the application to make unintended network requests, potentially leading to high confidentiality impact and partial integrity impact. The issue is fixed in version 2026.3.31.

Technical Analysis

The OpenClaw CLI marketplace plugin download feature in versions >=2026.1.29 and <2026.3.31 uses a bare redirect-following fetch mechanism without SSRF protection. This allows an attacker with low privileges and requiring user interaction to exploit the vulnerability, resulting in a high confidentiality impact and partial integrity impact. The vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2026-41297 with a CVSS 3.1 score of 7.6. The fix was introduced in version 2026.3.31, which mitigates the SSRF exposure by improving redirect handling.

Potential Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to unauthorized network requests initiated by the affected software, potentially exposing sensitive data (high confidentiality impact) and causing limited integrity issues. There is no reported impact on availability. The attacker requires low privileges and user interaction to exploit this vulnerability.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade to OpenClaw CLI version 2026.3.31 or later, which includes the fix for this SSRF vulnerability. Versions <=2026.3.28 are vulnerable. No additional mitigations are indicated by the vendor advisory.
