Source: GCVE Database
Product: openclaw-cli

Description

A vulnerability in the openclaw CLI package affects Microsoft Teams SSO invoke handler, which missed sender authorization checks. This flaw allows processing of SSO signin invokes from senders without applying the usual allowlist checks. Versions from 2026.4.10 up to but not including 2026.4.14 are affected. The issue was fixed in version 2026.4.14 by routing SSO invoke handling through the proper Teams sender authorization path and adding coverage for denied senders. Users should upgrade to version 2026.4.14 or later to remediate this vulnerability.

Technical Analysis

The openclaw CLI package (npm ecosystem) versions >=2026.4.10 and <2026.4.14 contain a vulnerability (CVE-2026-43572) where the Microsoft Teams SSO invoke handler did not perform sender authorization checks before processing invokes. This could allow unauthorized senders to trigger SSO signin invokes. The fix, included in version 2026.4.14, ensures that SSO invoke handling is routed through the Teams sender authorization path and adds checks to deny unauthorized senders. The patch was introduced in commit 80b1fa17bfc3f6a668492f0326ea52f48bb89776 and merged via PR #66033.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows Microsoft Teams SSO signin invoke handling to process invokes from unauthorized senders because sender allowlist checks were bypassed. This could potentially lead to unauthorized SSO invoke processing, impacting the security of the SSO mechanism in affected versions of openclaw CLI.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in openclaw CLI version 2026.4.14 and later. Users should upgrade to version 2026.4.14 or newer to remediate this issue. No additional mitigation steps are required once the upgrade is applied.
