Technical Analysis

The OpenClaw CLI package (npm) contains a vulnerability identified as CVE-2026-41365, where Microsoft Teams thread history fetched through the Graph API bypasses sender allowlists. This means that the filtering intended to restrict thread history access based on sender allowlists is ineffective, potentially exposing thread history from unauthorized senders. The vulnerability affects versions from 2026.1.29 up to but not including 2026.3.31. A fix was committed on 2026-03-30 and included in version 2026.3.31.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows bypassing sender allowlists when accessing Microsoft Teams thread history via the Graph API, potentially exposing thread history data that should be restricted. This could lead to unauthorized access to message history in Microsoft Teams threads. However, there is no indication of active exploitation in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

A patch is available and should be applied by upgrading OpenClaw CLI to version 2026.3.31 or later. Users should update to this fixed version to mitigate the vulnerability.
