Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-41353 describes a security flaw in the Openclaw CLI node browser proxy where the `allowProfiles` control can be bypassed by manipulating persistent profiles and selecting profiles at runtime. This allows an attacker with limited privileges to escalate their access by circumventing profile restrictions. The vulnerability was addressed and fixed in version 2026.3.22 of the Openclaw package.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability enables an attacker with low privileges to bypass profile restrictions, potentially leading to unauthorized actions or access within the node browser proxy environment. The CVSS vector indicates network attack vector, low attack complexity, partial privileges required, no user interaction, and high impact on confidentiality and integrity.

Mitigation Recommendations

Users should upgrade to Openclaw CLI version 2026.3.22 or later to apply the official fix. Versions up to 2026.3.13-1 are vulnerable. No additional mitigation is required once the update is applied.
