Technical Analysis

The openclaw-cli package contained a security flaw where the sandbox noVNC helper route was accessible without the intended bridge authentication. This exposure allowed an attacker to access interactive browser session credentials. The vulnerability affects versions >=2026.2.21 and <2026.4.10. The fix, implemented in pull request #63882 and commit 8dfbf3268bd224b7377d1ecca77a445100746085, gates the route behind bridge authentication. Users are advised to upgrade to version 2026.4.10 or later.

Potential Impact

An attacker could reach the sandbox noVNC helper route without authentication, potentially exposing interactive browser session credentials. This could lead to unauthorized access to browser sessions within the sandbox environment. However, there is no indication of privilege escalation or broader system compromise from the provided data.

Mitigation Recommendations

Users should upgrade to openclaw-cli version 2026.4.10 or later, as this version includes the official fix that enforces bridge authentication on the sandbox noVNC helper route. No other mitigation steps are indicated.
