Openclaw cli: OpenClaw: Slack interactive callbacks could skip configured sender checks in some shared-workspace flows (CVE-2026-32005)

Source: GCVE Database
Product: openclaw-cli

Description

OpenClaw CLI versions prior to 2026.2.25 have a vulnerability in Slack interactive callbacks where sender authorization checks can be bypassed in shared workspace deployments. This allows unauthorized workspace members to enqueue system-event text into active sessions. The issue does not grant unauthenticated access, cross-gateway isolation bypass, or host-level privilege escalation. A patch is planned in version 2026.2.25.

Technical Analysis

In OpenClaw CLI versions >=2026.1.29 and <2026.2.25, interactive Slack callbacks such as block_action, view_submission, and view_closed may be processed before full sender authorization checks in shared Slack workspace deployments that use sender restrictions like allowFrom, DM policy, or channel user allowlists. This flaw permits unauthorized workspace members to inject system-event text into active sessions. The vulnerability does not provide unauthenticated access, cross-gateway isolation bypass, or privilege escalation on the host. The issue is fixed in version 2026.2.25.

Potential Impact

Unauthorized workspace members in shared Slack workspace deployments can enqueue system-event text into active sessions due to incomplete sender authorization checks. However, this does not lead to unauthenticated access, cross-gateway isolation bypass, or host-level privilege escalation by itself.

Mitigation Recommendations

A patch is available in OpenClaw CLI version 2026.2.25. Users should upgrade to this version once released to remediate the vulnerability. Until then, be aware of the risk in shared Slack workspace deployments relying on sender restrictions.
