Technical Analysis
The openclaw CLI package (npm) had a replay detection bypass vulnerability (CVE-2026-41351) related to Telnyx webhook signature verification. The replay hashing treated equivalent Telnyx Base64 and Base64URL signatures as distinct requests, allowing replay bypass. However, signature verification remained intact, limiting the impact. The vulnerability affects versions from 2026.1.29 up to but not including 2026.3.31. The issue was fixed in version 2026.3.31 by commit ad77666054651c1fd77b1dc60fd6a8db6600a29a.
Potential Impact
An attacker could bypass replay detection for Telnyx webhooks by exploiting differences in Base64 signature encoding, potentially allowing replay of webhook requests. The impact is limited to confidentiality with no integrity or availability impact. The CVSS 3.1 score is 5.3 (medium severity). No known exploits are reported in the wild.
Mitigation Recommendations
Upgrade openclaw CLI to version 2026.3.31 or later, where the replay detection bypass vulnerability has been fixed. No additional mitigation is required as the fix is officially released and available.
