Openclaw cli: OpenClaw: Voice-call Plivo V3 webhook replay key uses unsorted URL, allowing replay via query-parameter reordering (CVE-2026-41395)

Source: GCVE Database
Product: openclaw-cli

Description

OpenClaw CLI's Plivo V3 webhook replay key generation used the raw verification URL without sorting query parameters, allowing attackers to replay signed webhook events by reordering query parameters. This flaw was fixed in version 2026.3.28 by canonicalizing the replay key.

Technical Analysis

The vulnerability in OpenClaw CLI's voice-call Plivo V3 webhook signature verification arises because while signature verification canonicalizes query parameter ordering, the replay detection mechanism hashes the raw URL with unsorted query parameters. This discrepancy allows an attacker who has captured a valid signed webhook to reorder query parameters and generate a new replay-cache key, effectively bypassing replay detection and causing duplicate voice-call processing. The issue affects versions from 2026.1.29 up to but not including 2026.3.28. The fix, committed as '85777e726c', canonicalizes the replay key to prevent replay attacks via query parameter reordering.

Potential Impact

An attacker with access to a valid signed Plivo V3 webhook can replay the same event multiple times by permuting the query parameters in the URL. This leads to duplicate processing of voice-call events, which could cause unintended behavior or resource consumption in the affected system.

Mitigation Recommendations

A patch is available and included starting from OpenClaw CLI version 2026.3.28. Users should upgrade to version 2026.3.28 or later to mitigate this vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are required once the patch is applied.
