Technical Analysis

The openclaw-cli package's voice-call realtime WebSocket path accepted oversized frames, which could cause a remote availability risk for deployments exposing that path. The vulnerability affects versions >=2026.4.9 and <2026.4.10. The fix, implemented in pull request #63890 and commit afadb7dae6738819ad9c7d2597ace0516957d20e, rejects oversized realtime WebSocket frames before processing them. Users are advised to upgrade to version 2026.4.10 or newer, with 2026.4.14 including the fix.

Potential Impact

This vulnerability can be exploited remotely without authentication to send oversized WebSocket frames to the voice-call realtime WebSocket endpoint, causing an availability impact (denial of service) on affected deployments.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade openclaw-cli to version 2026.4.10 or later. The fix is included starting from 2026.4.10, with 2026.4.14 being the latest release containing the patch. No other mitigation is required as the fix properly rejects oversized frames.
