Product: openclaw-cli

Description

OpenClaw CLI versions from 2026.2.19 up to but not including 2026.3.31 have a vulnerability in the Zalo webhook replay-dedupe cache. The cache was shared too broadly across authenticated webhook targets in multi-account deployments, allowing a replay event on one account to suppress legitimate events on another account if event_name and message_id matched. This issue affects availability but does not allow cross-account authentication or data access. The vulnerability was fixed in version 2026.3.31 with further hardening in 2026.4.1.

Technical Analysis

Before OpenClaw 2026.3.31, the Zalo webhook replay-dedupe cache was shared across authenticated webhook targets and keyed too broadly. In multi-account gateway deployments, a replay event seen on one account could suppress legitimate events on another account if the event_name and message_id matched. This caused silent message suppression, impacting availability but not authentication or data confidentiality. The issue was addressed by scoping the replay dedupe cache per target and further hardening to scope it by path and account in versions 2026.3.31 and 2026.4.1.

Potential Impact

An attacker controlling one authenticated Zalo webhook path in a multi-account gateway deployment could cause silent suppression of legitimate webhook events on a different Zalo account sharing the same gateway. This results in an availability impact by preventing some events from being processed or noticed. There is no impact on cross-account authentication or data access.

Mitigation Recommendations

A patch is available and was released in OpenClaw version 2026.3.31, with additional hardening in 2026.4.1. Users should upgrade to version 2026.3.31 or later to remediate this issue. No additional mitigation actions are indicated by the vendor advisory.
