Openclaw cli: OpenClaw: Zalo replay dedupe keys could suppress messages across chats or senders (CVE-2026-41354)
Description
OpenClaw CLI versions prior to 2026.4.2 have a vulnerability in the Zalo webhook replay deduplication mechanism. The dedupe keys were not sufficiently scoped across chat and sender dimensions, causing legitimate events from different conversations or senders to be incorrectly identified as duplicates and dropped. This results in silent message suppression and can disrupt bot workflows by causing availability issues in webhook event processing. The issue is fixed in version 2026.4.2.

Technical Analysis
Before OpenClaw version 2026.4.2, the Zalo webhook replay deduplication keys did not adequately differentiate events across chat and sender dimensions. This flaw allowed legitimate webhook events from distinct conversations or senders to collide in the deduplication process, leading to their suppression. The impact is an availability degradation in webhook event processing, potentially breaking bot workflows relying on these events. The vulnerability is patched in OpenClaw 2026.4.2 by scoping the dedupe keys properly. The fix is confirmed in the main branch and staged for the 2026.4.2 release.
Potential Impact
The vulnerability causes silent suppression of legitimate webhook messages across different chats or senders, resulting in availability issues for webhook event processing. This can disrupt automated bot workflows dependent on these events, leading to potential loss of functionality or delayed processing. There is no indication of confidentiality or integrity impact. No known exploits in the wild have been reported.
Mitigation Recommendations
A patch is available in OpenClaw version 2026.4.2 that properly scopes the Zalo webhook replay dedupe keys across chat and sender dimensions. Users should upgrade to version 2026.4.2 or later once it is released to remediate this issue. Until the patch is applied, users may experience silent message suppression in webhook event processing.
