Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-41402 describes a replay cache cross-target messageId scope bypass in the openclaw-cli package related to Zalo webhook handling. The vulnerability allows bypassing the replay deduplication mechanism due to overly broad keying of the replay cache. The issue is limited to authenticated sibling-target delivery paths, reducing the risk from unauthenticated attackers. The vulnerability affects versions >=2026.1.29 and <2026.3.31. The fix was committed on 2026-03-31 and is included in version 2026.3.31 and later.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows an attacker with some level of authentication to bypass the replay cache deduplication mechanism across sibling targets, potentially leading to replay of webhook messages. The impact is limited to confidentiality and integrity with low to medium severity, as indicated by the CVSS vector (AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N). There is no indication of availability impact or exploitation by unauthenticated attackers.

Mitigation Recommendations

A patch is available and has been released in openclaw-cli version 2026.3.31. Users should upgrade to version 2026.3.31 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No additional mitigation actions are indicated by the maintainer.
