Description

OpenClaw versions 2026.4.12-beta.1 up to but not including 2026.6.6 contain a missing-authorization vulnerability in the MS Teams message actions feature. This flaw allows a lower-trust caller or input path to perform actions that should require stronger authorization. The practical impact depends on the operator's configuration and exposure of the vulnerable feature. The issue is fixed in version 2026.6.6.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-62205 describes a missing-authorization vulnerability in OpenClaw's MS Teams message actions feature affecting versions from 2026.4.12-beta.1 up to but not including 2026.6.6. When enabled and reachable, this vulnerability allows lower-trust callers or configured input paths to perform actions that normally require stronger authorization or policy checks. The exploitability and impact depend on the specific deployment and configuration of the affected feature. The vulnerability is addressed and fixed in OpenClaw version 2026.6.6.

Potential Impact

An attacker with lower-trust privileges or access to certain input paths can perform actions that should require higher authorization, potentially leading to unauthorized operations within the MS Teams message actions feature. The actual impact varies based on operator configuration and whether the vulnerable feature is exposed to lower-trust inputs.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade OpenClaw to version 2026.6.6 or later, where this missing-authorization vulnerability is fixed. Operators should review their configuration to limit exposure of the MS Teams message actions feature to lower-trust callers until the upgrade is applied.
