Technical Analysis

The vulnerability in OpenClaw prior to version 2026.6.1 involves a denial of service condition where remote media URLs can be used to perform slow-read attacks. Attackers who have access to the configured input paths can supply specially crafted remote media URLs that consume gateway resources excessively, leading to exhaustion of worker resources and degraded service availability. This vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2026-62210 and is associated with CWE-770 (Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling).

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation results in denial of service by exhausting gateway worker resources, which reduces the availability of the OpenClaw service. This can disrupt normal operations and potentially impact dependent systems or users relying on the gateway.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in OpenClaw version 2026.6.1. Users should upgrade to this version or later to remediate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation guidance is provided in the vendor advisory.
