Description

OpenClaw versions before 2026.7.1 have an authorization bypass vulnerability in the /export-trajectory endpoint. This flaw allows non-owner users to request and receive trajectory bundles intended only for owners. Exploiting this vulnerability exposes sensitive session data including prompts, model messages, tool schemas, runtime events, and local path metadata.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-100594 describes an authorization bypass vulnerability in OpenClaw's /export-trajectory endpoint affecting versions prior to 2026.7.1. The vulnerability permits attackers with limited privileges (non-owners) to access owner-only trajectory bundles. The exposed data includes prompts, model messages, tool schemas, runtime events, and local path metadata from affected sessions. The CVSS v3.1 base score is 6.5, indicating a high severity with network attack vector, low attack complexity, and requiring low privileges without user interaction. The vulnerability does not impact integrity or availability but results in high confidentiality impact.

Potential Impact

Attackers exploiting this vulnerability can access sensitive session data that should be restricted to owners, potentially leading to information disclosure. The exposed data includes prompts, model messages, tool schemas, runtime events, and local path metadata, which could be leveraged for further attacks or data leakage. There is no indication of integrity or availability impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in OpenClaw version 2026.7.1. Users should upgrade to version 2026.7.1 or later to remediate this authorization bypass vulnerability. No other mitigation guidance is provided. Patch status is confirmed by the versioning information in the description.
