AI-suggested

Red Hat advises ensuring all previously released errata relevant to your system are applied before installing or upgrading the Zero Trust Workload Identity Manager operator. If the operator's upgrade approval policy is set to 'Automatic' (the default), upgrades will be applied automatically when new versions are available. If set to 'Manual', administrators must approve upgrades manually.

Description

CVE-2026-111943 is a vulnerability in Go's crypto/x509 package used by the Zero Trust Workload Identity Manager (ZTWIM) for Red Hat OpenShift. The flaw allows improper certificate validation, where trust in intermediate certificates associated with compromised Certificate Authorities is not blocked. This can enable remote attackers to impersonate legitimate servers and conduct man-in-the-middle attacks. The vulnerability affects Go-based clients and servers relying on standard TLS certificate verification. The Zero Trust Workload Identity Manager 1.0.4 is generally available, and no specific fixes for this vulnerability are detailed in the advisory.
