AI-suggested

Red Hat has released security updates for the 389-ds-base package in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 to address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the official patches provided by Red Hat as detailed in the advisory RHSA-2026:55530. No alternative mitigations are specified; applying the update is the recommended action.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed in the 389 Directory Server version 1.4 used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. These include a pre-authentication LDAP filter injection, a NULL pointer dereference in the BER parser, and a pre-authentication stack buffer overflow via unbounded replica ID parsing. These issues could potentially allow attackers to cause denial of service or execute arbitrary code without authentication.
